Kenneth Sherbahn Lamb, age 74, resident of Fort Mitchell, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at his residence. Private burial is scheduled at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, Alabama.

Mr. Lamb, son of the late Phillip Lawrence Lamb and Frances Eleanor Sherbahn, was born May 7, 1946 in Hutchinson, Kansas. He was a graduate of Auburn University and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant First Class. During his distinguished military service, he received numerous medals and ribbons to include the Meritorious Service Medal; Army Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal; Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars; and Combat Infantry Badge. After his military service, he began a career as a Land Surveyor where he worked in the Phenix City area at Barrett-Simpson Land Surveyors for many years. Mr. Lamb enjoyed Auburn football; Oakland Raider football; and NASCAR. He was a frequent patron of Rocky’s Bar in Fort Mitchell, Alabama. The family remembers him as a man who showed kindness to everyone.

Other than his parents, Mr. Lamb was preceded in death by a brother, Michael H. Lamb. He is survived by his wife, Lori Lamb of Columbus, Georgia; brother, Charles Lamb of Bailey, Colorado; step-son, Brad Downing of Columbus; two step-grandsons, Dylan Downing and Ethan Sinclair; many other relatives and friends.
