Kim Diggs, age 58, resident of Cusseta, Alabama, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at East Alabama Medical Center. Memorial services are scheduled at the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N, Phenix City, Alabama on Thursday, January 7, 2021, 5 p.m. (EST) with Reverend Jim Gilboy and Reverend Mitchell Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 4-5 p.m. (EST).
Ms. Diggs, daughter of the late Lawrence Everett Diggs and Mary Olive Daniel Diggs, was born December 10, 1962 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church, Valley Alabama. Ms. Diggs owned and operated Blue Sky Window Washing, where she served many within the Chattahoochee Valley for several years. She loved spending time painting art. Ms. Diggs also enjoyed reading, planting flowers, growing small gardens, and taking trips to the beach. The family remembers her as a Christian lady who brought sunshine into people’s lives.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Diggs. Survivors include three sisters, Linda Keefe and her husband Terry of Valley, Alabama, Edna “Sissie” Darnell and her husband Robert of Cusseta, Alabama,and Mary “Boopie” Franklin of Panama City, Florida; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
