Larry Hall

Mr. Larry Hall, 73, of Phenix City, AL passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm EST Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Rev. Shon Bryan officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mr. Hall was born April 18, 1950 in Andalusia, AL, son of Clarence Marvin Hall and Annie Leonia Spears Hall.  He worked in the textile industry at Pillowtex for over 30 years and then for Russell County Sanitation as a supervisor, until he retired.   Mr. Hall enjoyed watching racing at the East Alabama Motor Speedway and worked at the pit gate for many years.   Above all, he loved spending time with his family and became an enthusiast in whatever activity the grandchildren were involved in.  

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Smelley, Mildred Craig and Ceil Scruggs; and two brothers, Marvin Don Hall and Bobby Wayne Hall.

Mr. Hall is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Linda Donaldson Hall of Phenix City, AL; two daughters, Melinda Benton and husband Mickey of Salem, AL and Pamela McIntyre and husband Shane of Phenix City, AL; a brother, Jerry Dewayne Hall and wife Ina of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Ashley Grant (Casey), Brad Benton (Kylie), Destini McIntyre (Larry) and Abbigail McIntyre; great-grandchildren, Lily Ann Grant, Kennedy McElhannon, Jacks Benton and Judson Benton; several other extended family and friends.
