Larry Jerome Spivey

Larry Jerome Spivey, 69, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Columbus Hospice House.

 Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm EST, on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Vance Memorial Chapel, with Reverend Steven Reneau officiating. Family will receive friends an hour before the service.

Mr. Spivey was born on August 20, 1946, in Dothan, AL, to the late Dewey Daniel Spivey and Mary Sybil Spivey. He worked as a Dental Technician for Sterling Prosthetics and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Larry loved football and was an avid Alabama fan. He enjoyed muscle cars, fishing and adored his family.

Other than his parents he is preceded in death by 2 brothers, LaDon Spivey and Jeff Spivey.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Spivey; 2 children, Brandi Pearson, husband James and Jeb Spivey, wife Sandi; sister, Karen Nipper, husband Steve; brother, Barry Spivey, wife Augustine; sister-in-law, Christie Spivey; brother-in-law and sister-in-law David and Terri Childs and Phil and Patti Curbow; 5 grandchildren, Emilee Pearson, Bubba Pearson, Jacob Bevill, Carter Spivey and Colten Spivey; several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

The family would like to thank the loving staff at Canterbury Health Facility, Columbus Hospice, nursing staff on 7 main at Midtown Medical Center, Dr. Andrew Pippas and Dr. Chris Womack.
