Larry Kenneth Day, 69, of Phenix City, AL passed away Monday afternoon, November 4, 2019 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm EST on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Ladonia Baptist Church in Phenix City with Pastor Greg Hyche and Pastor Steve Faulk officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 2:00 to 3:00 pm EST.
Larry was born September 13, 1950 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Gene Monroe Day and Nanette Daniels Day. He was employed as an electronic technician with the Civil Service at Fort Benning, GA and was retired with 44 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Williams Wilson Masonic Lodge and a former member of the Phenix City Shriners. He loved spending time with his family, visiting the beach and watching Auburn football. He was a member of Ladonia Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Cheryl Daugherty Day of Phenix City, AL, two sons, Landon Day and wife Vickie of Phenix City, AL, and Lance Day and wife Amber of Prattville, AL, two sisters, Betty Sanders, and Nancy McElveen and husband Erskin, both of Phenix City, AL, and three beautiful grandchildren, Logan Day, Luke Day, and Ellie Kate Day, numerous other loving family members, church family, and many caring friends.
