Larry L. Massey

Larry L. Massey, 69, of McConnells, SC formerly of Phenix City, AL passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

A service is scheduled for 11am Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Bush Roan Emmanuel Holiness Church, 573 Lee Rd 230, Phenix City, AL 36870, with Pastor Gerald Corbin officiating. They family will visit before and after the service.

Mr. Massey was born June 15, 1949 in Phenix City, AL, son of the late Seth O. Massey and Myrtle Adkinson Massey. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Ja’Nae Blackwell, infant son, Christopher Marc Massey, sister, Rita June Cochran and brother R.T. Haines.

Mr. Massey is survived by his wife, Janie Chappell Massey; daughter, Rebecca Ann Massey Osbon husband Earl; 4 stepchildren, Sam Chappell, Shannafaye Matthews husband Lindsay, Emily Chappell Root husband Jerico and Brandon J. Chappell; beloved great nephew, Jerell Horton; brother, Benjamin S. Massey Sr.; his dog June and several nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends.
