Laura Shelton Jordan

Laura Shelton Jordan, 81, of Seminole, FL passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the Piedmont Columbus Regional in Columbus, GA.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm EST Monday, April 22, 2019 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Rev. Brian Hawkins and Rev. Bob Hawkins officiating.  The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm EST at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.

Mrs. Jordan was born June 15, 1937 in Greensboro, NC, daughter of the late Charlie Shelton and Maude McGeehee Shelton.  She enjoyed cooking and found ironing to be a relaxing hobby.  Above all she loved caring for her family.  Mrs. Jordan was a member of the First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks in Largo, FL.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Howard L. Jordan, Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Howard L. Jordan of Seminole, FL: one daughter, Leigh Jordan Hawkins and husband Bob of Phenix City, AL; one son, Chuck Jordan and wife Stacey of Eufaula, AL; one sister, Jerry Parrish of Greensboro, NC; one brother, Tommy Shelton and wife Pat of North Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Brian, Heather, Luke, Sam and Syd; great-grandchildren, Shelby, Joey, Haddy, Evie and Becca; several extended family and numerous caring friends.
