Lee Edward Heath

Lee Edward Heath, 47, of Phenix City, AL passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in Columbus, GA.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held 2:00 pm EST Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home (Vance memorial Chapel) in Phenix City with Rev. Jonathan Taylor and Rev. Tommy Fountain officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm EST prior to the service at the funeral home.

Lee was born February 21, 1970 in Columbus, GA and was the son of Roscoe Denton Heath, Jr. and Rebecca Leigh Powell Loud.  He was employed with Exide Battery Corporation in Columbus, GA.  He loved all sports, and had served as an umpire most of his life involving the Little League programs, High Schools, and College.  He was passionate about the Alabama Crimson Tide and enjoyed the Roll Tide spirit.  He was a life-long Christian and was involved in helping in many programs at church.  He was a member of The Village Church in Phenix City, and had served our country proudly and was a Veteran of the United States Navy.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Bevelyn Heath.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Kacey Leigh Claridy Heath, his mother, Rebecca Leigh Loud and husband Paul, father, Roscoe Denton Heath, Jr., children, Tanner Heath, Maura Heath Cole and husband Detrick, Bryant Heath, and Claridy Heath; father and mother-in-law, Frankie and Gloria Claridy, sisters, Jenna Lauren Bowman and husband Lamar, and Amber Axtel and husband Philip, brother, Chance Heath, brother-in-law, Kent Claridy and wife April, and three precious grandchildren, Tyson Tyner, Caden Cole, and Maxton Heath, numerous extended family members, church family, and many caring friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to the food pantry at the Village Church in Phenix City.
