Lee L. Lott, Jr. 82 of Phenix City, AL passed Thursday afternoon, January 23, 2014 in the comfort of his home while surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Lott was born September 7, 1931 in Monroeville, AL to the late Lee L. Lott, Sr. and Clara Mae Moore Lott. He was the past owner of Hogan-Lott Plumbing Supply and a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Navy. Mr. Lott served in Chairman Role's for Cobb Memorial Hospital and the Glenwood School System for many years; he also served as Probate Judge for Russell County, Phenix Girard Bank Board of Directors and other various banks and served proudly as the former Mayor, and City Commissioner of Phenix City. Mr. Lott was passionate about opportunity, growth and the welfare of Phenix City and the surrounding communities. He was a member of Summerville Baptist Church in Phenix City and enjoyed all opportunities of fellowship. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, of 62 years, June Pitts Lott of Phenix City, AL, daughter, Rebecca Lott “Becky” Meredith (Ray), son, Charles Kenneth “Ken” Lott (Missy). Grandchildren, Will Lott, Abby Reese (Adam), Katy Moncus (Rollins) and Rachel Stuckey (Jesse), great grandchildren, Lola Moncus, Sara Stuckey and Carsen Crew. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am EST, on Monday, January 27, 2014, at Summerville Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Goodman officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm EST at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Summerville Baptist Church of Phenix City or Hospice Advantage of EAMC in Opelika, AL, in Mr. Lott's honor. A special thank you to caregivers, Kim Elston and Sherry Robinson for their kind love, and support they showed.
