Lenora Lynette Renfroe Gatlin, 76, of Fortson, GA passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus. Her funeral service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road on Thursday, June 15, 2017 beginning at 11:00 A.M. EST with the Reverend Jim Hilderbrand officiating. The interment will conclude the service at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. EST.
Mrs. Gatlin was born May 24, 1941 in Columbus, GA to the late Frank Renfroe and Mollie Bell Renfroe. She worked in quality control and retired from Swift Textile Mills. She also worked at East Alabama Motor Speedway. She enjoyed spending time with her grandson, cooking, gardening and word find books. She was an Atlanta Braves fan as well.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Gatlin is predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Lenora Gatlin and a sister, Jean King.
Survivors include her loving spouse of fifty-eight years, Joel Gatlin, Jr; one son, Gregory Gatlin (Brandie) of Fortson, GA; one sister, Myrnell Finecey (George) of Ocean City, MD; one brother, Jerry Renfroe (Gisela) of Columbus, GA; and one grandchild, Greyson Gatlin.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice at 100 Brookstone Centre Parkway, Columbus, GA 31904 or to the American Cancer Society, 233 12th St STE 710, Columbus, GA 31901.
