Lenora Moody Norris Freeman, 88, of Leesburg, Ga. Passed away on Saturday July2, 2016 at Lee County Health and Rehab in Leesburg, Ga.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City, Alabama. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive visitors Thursday from 10:00 until 11:00, one hour prior to the service.
Ms. Lenora was born July 24, 1927 in Coffee County, Ala. She is the daughter of the late James Eldridge Moody and Ruby Goss Moody. She loved life and enjoyed reading her bible, bingo, dominos, and fishing. She attended church when her health permitted. She is preceded in death by two husbands Bernard Norris and Paul William Freeman, a sister Lois Wilson, and brothers Bud Moody, Doug Moody, Ben Moody, Randall Moody, and Heflin Moody, son Rev. Allen Norris, and a grandson James Michael Pierce.
She is survived by her children; Janis Pierce and husband Gene of Leesburg, Ga, Bernard Larry Norris and wife Tracy of Millbrook, Ala, Kenny Mac Norris and wife Sheila of Seale, Ala, Carey Norris and wife Wanda of Troy, Ala, daughter-in-law Jolynn Kendrick Norris of Ozark, Ala, stepson Donald Freeman and wife Maria of Orlando, Fl, stepdaughter Paula McGee and husband Tommy of Albany, Ga; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter, and a large extended family.
