Leon Adrian Watson, Sr.

Mr. Leon Adrian Watson, Sr., 80, of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday June 30, 2024, at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange, GA. 

 A funeral service will be held 11:00 am EDT Friday, July 12, 2024, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Rev. Jody McAllister officiating. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 am EDT, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mr. Watson was born September 20, 1943 in Columbus, GA, son of the late John A. Watson and Mattie Florence Stephenson Watson. He worked for many years in the heating and air conditioning industry but finished out his career as a homebuilder. Mr. Watson had one hobby and that was dirt track racing. He loved racing and you could always find him at the track. Mr. Watson was a member of Auburn Heights Baptist Church. 

 Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia A. Thigpen Watson; six sisters and six brothers. 

 Mr. Watson is survived by his wife Patsy Elaine Leonard Watson; children, Leon A. Watson, Jr. and wife Debbie, Ryan Watson and wife Kelly, Amanda Hurst, Rob Diaz and Lisa Williams; grandchildren, Kimberly Watson (Brandon), Kristen Watson, Sam Eason (Ryan), Cody Watson, Maranda Sellers (Brandon), Tyler Bryan, Emma Ryan Watson, Payton Hurst, Joshua Diaz, Allie Diaz, Cody Williams and Amber Williams ; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
