Lessie V. Ivy

Lessie V. Ivy, 96, of Phenix City, AL passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Midtown Medical in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City, AL.  A procession will carry us to Main Post Cemetery at Ft. Benning for burial. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ivy was born March 16, 1921 in Pansey, AL to the late John William Phillips and Maxie Mae Powell Phillips. She was a Worthy Matron in the Order of the Eastern Star. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George W. Ivy; 2 daughters, Essie and Evelyn; 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

She is survived by her son, Donald Ivy; granddaughter, Amber Crisco and husband Ned; 2 great-grandchildren, Trevor Crisco and Clara Crisco; niece, Dorenda Battle; nephew, George Dwight Ivy; a host of extended family, and many caring friends.

The family thanks the staff of Phenix City Health Care for their loving care of Mrs. Ivy.
