Leticia Tapia Bies, 62, passed away on May 8, 2024, in Columbus, GA in the peaceful embrace of her home, surrounded by cherished memories and the love of her family. Her legacy of warmth and kindness will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched.
She was born on November 6, 1961 to parents Juan Tapia and Juana Escobedo Tapia. Leticia's journey was marked by academic accomplishment as she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. Her true calling and passion, though, lay in being a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.
She was a dedicated homemaker who found joy in nurturing her family and creating a warm and loving home. Leticia loved to cook and will be remembered fondly for her way of making others feel cared for with every meal she lovingly prepared. Additionally, attending church at Iglesia De Dios Nuevo Pacto held a special place in her heart, and she devoted many years of faithful attendance.
Leticia is reunited in eternity with her parents Juan Tapia and Juana Escobedo Tapia.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 34 years, Jack Bies, whose unwavering support and tender loving care served as a pillar of strength for Leticia in the last 10 years especially; sons Javier Tapia and his wife Marissa of Tampa, Florida, and Jared Bies of El Paso, Texas of whom she was immensely proud; sister Yolanda Tapia and her husband Isaias of Mexico; brother Marco Tapia and his wife Angelica of Mexico; as well as her precious grandchildren Micah, Xavier, Kontessa, and Lukas.
In every act of love that Leticia bestowed upon her family and friends, she has left an indelible mark on their hearts. Her memory will continue to live on through the countless lives she has touched with her love and generosity. May she rest in peace knowing that she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
