Mrs. Lillie Esther Phillips Cole, 85, of Ft. Mitchell, AL died December 03, 2021 while at Lafayette Regional Health Center, in Lexington, MO with her family by her side.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 PM (EST) on Thursday, January 27, 2022 in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Rev. Barry Flemings officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Cole was born December 03, 1936 in Athens, AL daughter of the late Armond C. Phillips and Henri Vada Rice Phillips. She enjoyed being a homemaker, something that she found rewarding. Mrs. Cole enjoyed fishing and playing the lottery. We will miss her care and gentle ways, but she will always be in our memory.
Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 49 years, Jewel Daniel Cole; two sons, James D. Cole and Michael A. Cole; a grandson, Phillip Jewel Cole and one brother, Glenn Phillips.
Survivors include her five children, Lonnie Cole, Kenneth L. Cole, Raymond Q. Cole, John P. Cole and Steven N. Cole; three sisters, Rose Petitt, June Ballard and Joan Olage; one brother, Milton Phillips; nineteen grandchildren and over 20 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
