Mrs. Linda Brooks Bennett

Mrs. Linda “Lyn” Brooks Bennett, 71, of Smiths Station, AL passed away Monday, July 12, 2021 at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 pm Sunday at her home.

Mrs. Bennett was born March 2, 1950, daughter of the late Carl Brooks and Vivian Foster Brooks.  She had worked for Focus Financial for over 25 years and was still the Office Manager.  Mrs. Bennett enjoyed cooking and sewing, but above all she loved watching her grandson Tyler play baseball.  She was also a member of the G moms (Glenwood Grandmothers) at Glenwood Highschool.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” C. Bennett.

She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Wadkins and husband Ronnie of Salem, AL; a sister, Cheryl Newman of Columbus, GA; a grandson, Tyler Wadkins of Salem, AL; a life long friend, Kathryn Baker; several special friends and clients.
