Linda "Gail" Greene

Linda “Gail” Greene, 68, left this earth to join the Lord on November 8, 2017 in Phenix City, AL.  She was born on March 17, 1949 in Columbus, GA. 

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017, from 2:00 until 4:00 pm EDT, at Vance Memorial Chapel and the family will hold a private service.

Over the years, Gail worked in many professions, but her final job was at Keebler until she became permanently disabled in 2000.  Gail was a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church in Columbus, GA.  In her younger years, Gail loved the outdoors, including camping and fishing.  When her health no longer permitted such adventures, she found enjoyment in watching WWE wrestling and QVC shopping.  She looked forward to the local annual Christmas Made in the South festival, a tradition she enjoyed with her mother for many years.

 Gail was predeceased by her parents Ralph George “Mike” Trask and Lucile Ledbetter Pearce, stepfather Keith “Foots” Pearce, and her husband Dalice Rudolph “Rudy” Greene, Jr.  She is survived by her children Dawn (Ted) Whitt, Mike Whistle, Kylee “Dan” Greene, and her stepchildren Rhonda (Fred) Woodrum, Pamela Williams, Andrea (Jeff) Richardson, Barbara Jo Greene, and Dale Greene; in addition to many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother Larry Trask, step brother Darren Pearce, nephew Sterling Trask, and niece Kim (Jared) Fuller.

 Those wishing to honor Gail’s memory may make donations in her name to the American Cancer Society or the COPD Foundation.
