Linda Henry

Linda Henry, age 83, resident of Smiths Station, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at her residence. Graveside services are scheduled at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, Alabama on Monday, May 1, 2023, 10 a.m., according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N, Phenix City, Alabama. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 2-4 p.m.

Mrs. Henry was born January 13, 1940 in Seoul, Korea. She retired from Tom’s Foods where she faithfully worked for over 32 years. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Phenix City, Alabama. Mrs. Henry took many trips with her husband through the years on his Trike, covering 32 states and Canada. She enjoyed gardening, watching news and weather, and cooking for her family. The family remembers her as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Hyun Ta Kim.

Mrs. Henry is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Ridgewaye Henry of Smiths Station, Alabama; one son, Alvin Henry and his wife Rose of Charleston, South Carolina; four grandsons, Michael Henry and Andrew Henry, both of Mobile, Alabama and William Shew and Mark Shew, both of Charleston, South Carolina; three great-grandchildren, Rivers Shew, Evans Shew, and Charlotte Shew; many other relatives and friends.
