Linda Kay Howell Peters

Linda Howell Peters, 74, of Valley, AL passed away late Thursday evening, October 5, 2023, at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA while surrounded by her loving family.
Ms. Peters was born February 8, 1949, in Enterprise, AL, daughter of the late Grady Howell and Lorene McIntosh Howell. She was a graduate of Troy University where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She was honored to serve as a teacher for the Phenix City School System making a difference in young individuals’ lives for 20 plus years. After retirement, she enjoyed fellowship, and going to the movies with friends. Her greatest passion was the love for her family and spending special time with her grandson, Mason, and all her nieces and nephews. She was a Baptist by faith.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Howell.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Christy Stickles (Tim) of Valley, AL; her beloved grandson, Mason Stickles; one sister, Jane Chandler (Danny) of Blakely, GA; her sister-in-law Sally Howell; her nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Young (John), Patrick Howell, Daniel Chandler (Karen), Robin Chandler (Matt) and Samuel Chandler; several great nieces and nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 CST, October 21, 2023, at the New Home Baptist Church in Enterprise, AL with Pastor Cliff Quincey officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in New Brockton, AL. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, October 19, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST at Vance Brooks Funeral Home 3738 Hwy 431 North Phenix City, AL 36867.
