Linda Hightower Riley, 78, of Phenix City, AL died at Piedmont Columbus, Midtown, Hospital, Monday, December 27, 2021.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM (EST) on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in Lakeview Memory Gardens according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM till 1:30 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Riley was born May 08, 1943 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Henry Wallace Hightower and Katherine Monroe Hightower. She was a Christian by faith and an active member of Woodland Baptist Church. Ms. Linda had a “Green Thumb” and could grow just about anything. Her specialty was orchards, earning her the tile “Orchid Queen”. She spent countless hours in her yard and vegetable gardens enjoying their beauty and bounty. Something she shared freely with family and friends. We will continue to enjoy the beautiful flowers and other plants she has grown and consider them a positive reminder of her love of gardening and family.
Mrs. Riley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Calvin W. Riley, Jr; a brother, Don Hightower and a son, Brian Todd Riley.
Survivors include her two children, Donna Henry (Ronald) and Jerry Riley (Michele) all of Phenix City, AL; three brothers, Dan Hightower, Tommy Hightower (Kay) and Monty Hightower; four grandchildren, Amanda Browder (David), Kyle Henry (Jessica), Ashley Wyrosdick (Austin), and Adam Lopretto (Shelbi); six great-grandchildren, Eli, Waylon, Eva, Stevie, Mason and Navy; numerous other close relatives and friends also survive.
