Linda Jackson Parker, 74, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away peacefully at East Alabama Medical Center with her family close by.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm EST on Friday, October 22, 2021, at Grace Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Sammy Turner officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Ms. Parker was born in Phenix City, AL the daughter of James C. Jackson and Ester Hightower Jackson. For many years she worked in the textile industry as a secretary. She was a huge fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Atlanta Braves but neither compared to her favorite entertainer Tim McGraw. Above all, Linda treasured her family and the time she spent with each of them, especially her grandchildren.
Ms. Parker was preceded in death by her parents; one sister Marie Hancock and one brother James C. “Bubba” Jackson, II.
Left to cherish her memory is one daughter Kim Oakes and her husband Jason of Phenix City, AL; four grandchildren Josh Walker and his wife Michelle of Phenix City, AL, Zach Walker of Smiths Station, AL, Trent Oakes and his wife Ashlee of Auburn, AL and Kaytlin Oakes of Phenix City, AL; five great grandchildren Brodie, Bailey, Easton, Dakota, and Emersyn, and her favorite grandpup Dex, and several nieces, nephews and caring friends.
The family will accept flowers or contributions may be made in Ms. Parker’s memory to “Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation” 230 East Ohio Street Suite 500 Chicago, IL 60611.
