Linda Denise Shields

Linda Denise Shields, 57, of Seale, AL died at Piedmont, Midtown, Columbus, GA on Monday, January 1, 2024.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM (EST) on Friday, January 5, 2024 in Ladonia Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Hyche officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. Interment will follow in Ladonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Shields was born January 8, 1966 in Malvern, AR daughter of George Andrew Langley and Ina Faye May Langley. She was an active member of Ladonia Baptist Church. Ms. Denise was a vital part of the music ministry, VBS and AWANA at the church. She just loved to sing! In her spare time “Grandmommy” enjoyed camping and caring for her four grandchildren. The legacy of love, hope and faith she leaves will always bring joy to our hearts as we remember the good times we shared.

Survivors other than her parents, George and Faye Langley, include her husband, Everette Dwayne Shields, Seale, AL; four children, Dawn Shields Parsons (Kimberly), Jerry Dwayne “JD” Shields, Danielle Duke (Nick) and George Shields (Caileen); one brother, Andy Langley (Michelle); four precious grandchildren, Olivia Duke, Gwendolyn Duke, Hallie Duke and Everette “Rett” Shields; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
