Linda Stansell

Linda Whitaker Stansell, of Columbus, GA passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Columbus Hospice House. Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2013 beginning at 11:00 A.M. at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home 4048 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA. Pastor Mike Reeves will be officiating services. Interment will be held Monday, November 25, at Fort Benning Main Post Cemetery at 12:00 P.M. EST. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be, Bill Flowers, David Patrick, Nathan Pearson, David Foster, John Patrick and Logan Rush. Linda Whitaker Stansell was born August 13, 1949 in Dothan, Alabama, daughter to James Allen Whitaker and Sarah Lavonia Whitaker. Linda is preceded in death by her first husband Phillip Wayne Davis, and husband, James Berma Stansell, father, James Allen Whitaker, sister, Sarah Whitaker Pearson, and son, Adam Wade Davis. Survivors include daughter, Kimberly Flowers Foster; son, Phillip Allen Davis; mother, Sarah Whitaker; sister Pamela Whitaker Siegal; grandchildren, William Grady Flowers, Charles Whitaker Flowers, Sarah Elizabeth Flowers, Alyssa Ann Davis and Alyson Linly Davis. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to 2nd Baptist Church of Columbus, Building Fund.
