October 26, 1960 — September 18, 2014

Lisa Lenora Gatlin, 53 passed away Thursday September 18, 2014 at Gentiva Hospice. A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, September 23, 2014 beginning at 11:00 A.M EST at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4948 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907. Interment will conclude at Parkhill Cemetery. Chaplain James “Jim” Hilderbrand will be officiating services. The family will receive friends, Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. EST. at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be, Danny King, Littlejohn Bruer, Glen Gatlin, Chad Wallace, Jeff Hinson, and Michael Queen. Lisa Lenora Gatlin was born October 26, 1960 daughter of Joel Gatlin and Lenora Renfroe Gatlin. Lisa graduated with honors from Jordan High School, class of 1978. After graduation, she worked as an IT Engineer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia, for 35 years. She loved her job and most of all loved her co-workers. In her spare time Lisa enjoyed going to The Springer Opera House and shows at The River Center. She loved reading mystery novels and watching classic television shows. Lisa was a fan of NASCAR, you could often find her at East Alabama Motor Speedway catching a race or helping out in the tower. Lisa is preceded in death by her grandparents. Survivors include her parents, Joel and Lenora Gatlin, of Fortson, GA; brother, Gregory Gatlin and wife Brandie; and nephew Greyson Gatlin, all of Fortson, GA. Lisa will always be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and caring friend to all that had the pleasure of knowing her. Flowers will be accepted or those so desiring may make a memorial donation to Gentiva Hospice, 2425 Williams Rd, Columbus, GA 31909
