Lloyd Morse Kanouse

Lloyd Morse Kanouse, 86, of Columbus, GA passed away Monday, January 04, 2016 at his home in Columbus, GA.  Funeral services will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Thursday, January 07, 2016 beginning at 3:00 PM EST, with the interment concluding the service at Parkhill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 06, 2016 at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. EST.  

Lloyd was born August 25, 1929 in Quincy, Michigan to the parents of the late Lyle Oneal Kanouse and Myrtle Draper Kanouse.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, who served during the Korean War.  He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and was an Over-the-road truck driver.   

Other than his parents, Lloyd is predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years, Grace Lee Kanouse; a daughter, Dorothy Turnage Sanders; and son’s, Ronald Cauthen and Michael “Little Mike” Kanouse.

Survivors include his daughter, Alice Mitchell of Columbus, GA; nine grandchildren:  Richard Turnage, Edward Turnage, Danny Sanders, Heath Cauthen, Clint Cauthen, Jennifer Cauthen, Jimmy Mitchell Jr., Jody Mitchell and Maria Odom; seventeen great grandchildren:  J.R. Mitchell, Shannon Mitchell, Jacob Mitchell (Fishing buddy), Blake Mitchell, Jacob Cauthen, Elizabeth Elledge, Savannah Elledge, Johnny Elledge, Michael Odom, Mark Odom, Mia Odom, Jennifer Grube, Summer Turnage, Robert Turnage, Brittany Turnage, Lauren Turnage and Ryan Turnage; and ten great, great grandchildren.
