Lois Canarie Shecko

Lois Canarie Stephens Shecko, 94, of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA. 

 A private celebration of life funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Lynn McManious officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.   

Ms. Shecko was born September 28, 1923 in Columbus, GA to the late Aubrey Stephens and Hazel Annona Sorrels Stephens.  She loved children and was retired as a nursery worker for Epworth United Methodist Church.  She was a Baptist by faith.  She enjoyed cooking, and spending quality time with all her family and especially all her grandchildren.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Albert Wilson, and a grandson, Christopher Wilson.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Green, one son, Don Wilson and wife Mary, grandchildren, Robin Evetts (Chris), Michael Wilson, Donald Wilson, Jr., Vicky Creel (Chuck), , Keith Wilson (Leah), Kathi Riley, and Justin Wilson, great grandchildren, Angella Rubbert (Brad), Colby Creel (Kristi), Cara Creel (Matthew, Tarah Wilson, Ashton Wilson, Mariah Riley, Jake Wilson, and Stella Wilson, great great grandchildren, Triston Evetts, Dustin Rubbert, and Lillian Ivy Thompson; and a host of loving extended family members.
