London Joy Bridges

London Joy Bridges, 73, of Phenix City, AL passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018, in the comfort of her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm EST Monday, March 5, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with visitation one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Ms. Bridges was born December 26, 1944 in Columbus, GA to the late James Henry Grimes and Annie Grimes Waites. She served others in her calling as a nurse, working for many years at Cobb Hospital. In this role her nature and character shined as she cared for those that were sick and as she nurtured those she worked with every day. London enjoyed life. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her brother James Randy Grimes and a nephew James Christopher Grimes.

She is survived by her longtime friend, Sue Jenkins; a niece, Jacque Lynne Collins; cousin Peggy Seligman; several great-nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.
