Lonnie P. Cannon

Lonnie P. Cannon, 80, of Columbus, GA passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Monday, April 9, 2018 at Lakeview Memory Gardens, with Rev. Billy Duncan officiating.  The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, April 8, 2018, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City, AL.

Mr. Cannon was born in Troy, AL on November 9, 1937, son of the late W. A. Cannon and Sula Mancil Cannon.  He retired after 39 years of service from Sunshine Biscuit.  Mr. Cannon was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He was also a member of Beallwood Baptist Church in Columbus, GA.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a two brothers, William Wade Cannon and Henry Cannon.

He is survived by a loving wife of 56 years Peggy Vance Cannon of Columbus, GA; a daughter, Cathy Cannon Cravens and husband Rick of Columbus, GA; a sister, Clara Ann Shobert of Arlington, TX; a brother, James Cannon and wife Linda of Phenix City, AL; two grandsons, Nicholas and Zackery Cravens; several extended family members and friends.
