Lonnie Singleton

Lonnie Singleton, age 68, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on May 11, 2020.  Memorial Services are scheduled at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N, Phenix City, Alabama on Monday, May 18, 2020, 2 p.m. with James Jones officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday, May 18, 2020.  Mr. Singleton, son of the late Colon Singleton and Pauline Langston Singleton, was born December 12, 1951 in Pike County, Alabama.  He was retired from Bibb Mill where he worked faithfully for many years.  Mr. Singleton was Baptist by faith and loved spending time with horses and his dog, Frances.  He enjoyed watching old western movies and television shows.  Mr. Singleton was a giving man to many.  The family remembers him as a loving man who enjoyed spending quality time with his family an friends.  Besides his parents, Mr. Singleton was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Singleton and two sisters, Elizabeth Singleton Taylor and Geneva Singleton Owens.  He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Singleton of Phenix City;  son, Tommy Singleton and his wife Kim of Phenix City; sister, Edna Krauthamer and her husband David of Guntersville, Alabama; brothers, Edward Singleton of Phenix City and Carlton Singleton of Columbus, Georgia; four grandchildren, Felicia Singleton, Michael Singleton, Dylan Singleton, and Zachary Christian; great-granddaughter, Isabella Singleton; great-grandsons, Aiden Singleton, Trendon Singleton, and Alexander Singleton; many other relatives and friends.
