Lorraine T. Eaton

Lorraine T. Eaton, 59, of Smiths Station, AL passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In keeping with efforts to control the spread of COVID-19, facemasks and social distancing will be encouraged.

Lorraine was born on September 27, 1962 in Brooklyn, NY to Louise Latimore-Hasket and the late David Latimore. She was employed at Martin Army Hospital where she worked as a Registered Nurse. Lorraine enjoyed shopping, reading and dancing. She had a loving and giving heart for those in need, especially at-risk children. Lorraine was able to pour into the lives of many young people while being a foster parent.

Other than her mother, Lorraine is survived by her daughters Quinnshawna S. Eaton-Bent of Calabasas, CA and Graceshell J. Eaton of Wyandanch, NY; sons AZ B Shelton of Middletown, PA, Daniel J. Eaton of Hershey, PA and Nathaniel W. Eaton of Charlotte, NC; sisters Jacqueline Eaton of Bronx, NY, Sandra Brooks of Columbia, SC and La’tisha Eaton of Bronx, NY; brothers Lawrence Latimore of Smiths Station, AL, David Latimore, Jr. of Charleston, SC, Anthony Eaton of Harrisburg, PA and Kennard Eaton of Allentown, PA; grandchildren Karrisma Bent, Henry Shelton, Nyla Bent, Azialyn Shelton, Lynasia Eaton, Clayton Bent, Tylin Eaton, Labelle Lamorissiere and Lamier Lamorissiere. Other than her father, Lorraine is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 34 years, Dennis W. Eaton.
