Louise Rogers Gage

Louise R. Gage passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the age of 85 at Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. EST at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. Reverend Udell Addison will be officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 28, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. EST at the funeral home.

            Mrs. Gage was born on the 16th of February, 1929, in Scotland County, NC to the late Daniel and Annie McKenzie. She loved her flower gardens, visiting with her grandchildren, shopping at Stein Mart and her Fancy Girl (loving companion toy poodle). She also loved her boat and fishing.

            She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons Carl Rogers and Troy Rogers.

            Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Kenneth Gage of Columbus, GA; sons, Roy Rogers of Woodstock, GA and James A. Rogers of Beaufort, SC; step-sons, David Cox of Smith Station, Kenneth Gage, Jr. of New Orleans, LA and Bryan Gage of Conyers, GA; sisters Margie Cooner of Columbus, GA and Doris Murphy of Columbus, GA; brother, J.W. McKenzie; and grandchildren too numerous to list.
