Mae Burnham Williams, 89, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed thru the gates of Heaven and into the presence of her Savior on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at the Columbus Hospice House with her family by her side.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM EST on Friday, May 26, 2023, in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. Nelson Lugo officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Williams was born in Sneads, Florida, the daughter of the late Gahazie B. Burnham and Lida Love Burnham. Mrs. Williams served her family as a homemaker all her life. Watching nature from the comfort of her front porch, was her favorite way to relax and marvel at God’s beauty. She also enjoyed canvas painting. Mrs. Williams was a faithful member of First Assembly of God Church for over twenty years where she also taught Sunday School for first and second grade classes. Above all, she enjoyed every minute she was able to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-eight years, David Edward Williams and a brother Noah Burnham.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters Virginia Williams (Doug) of Phenix City, AL and Jeannette Riggs (Rodney) of Wetumpka, AL; son Mike Williams (Tina) of Salem, AL; sister Carleen Williams of Phenix City, AL; grandchildren Christy Roble (Kevin) of Phenix City, AL, Crystal Starks of Wetumpka, AL and Shawn Williams of Salem, AL and one great granddaughter Ashley Roble.
