Margaret A. "Peggi" Cilio

August 2, 1939 — December 8, 2024

Phenix City, AL

Margaret A. “Peggi” Cilio, 85, of Phenix City, AL died peacefully while at Columbus Hospice House, Columbus, GA on Sunday, December 8, 2024 with her family by her side.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM (EST) on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Golden Acres Baptist Church, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Todd Horne officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour on Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Cilio was born August 2, 1939 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, daughter of the late Augusta Munroe Sarvis and Dotaileen Odom Sarvis. She was in the Ft. Lauderdale High School graduating Class of 1957 and was selected as Miss Ft. Lauderdale High School. In her professional career she was a Commercial Banker for Colony Bank for several years. Mrs. Cilio was also a very active member of Golden Acres Baptist Church where she was dearly loved and will be missed. She enjoyed the fall and football season where she had to split her loyalties between Florida State and Auburn. Mrs. Cilio, or “Gram” as she was known to her family, was the prime example of a grandmother. She never missed a game, play, or other events her grandchildren participated in. She was a shining example of her faith in Christ by living it every day.

We will never forget how she caused the room to brighten as she entered and how she loved her family without limits. Thank you so much Gram!

Mrs. Cilio was preceded in death by her parents, Augusta and Dotaileen Sarvis, her sister, Patti Sarvis Williams, and stepbrother Munroe Francis Sarvis.

Survivors include her two children, Traci Warner (Wendell “Allen”) of Phenix City, AL and Rex Cilio (Jennifer) of Mt. Dora, FL; one brother, Glenn Sarvis (Karen); one aunt, Joyce Rogers (Leon); eight grandchildren, Kyle Cilio (Ireland), Kari McWhorter (Stewart), Colby Cilio, Taylor Cilio, Tanner Cilio, Riley Cilio, Dylan Gentry and Blaze Reichert; eleven great-grandchildren; a very large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
