Margaret R. Hutson

Margaret R. Hutson, 90 of Columbus, Georgia passed away peacefully at Gentiva Hospice on Friday, April 1, 2016. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Parkhill Cemetery with Pastor Jimmy McClain officiating.

Margaret R. Hutson was born in Donastauf, Germany to the late Ernst Schadley and Martha Codeoa. Margaret came to the United States in the year of 1947 and had a great love for this country. She was a fantastic seamstress who loved to sew many different types of garments and crafts, she enjoyed reading, and was a wonderful cook who took pride in teaching these talents she had to family and friends.  Margaret was a member of Pierce Chapel Methodist Church. She retired from a career in retail at JC Penney.  Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Harvey Hutson, two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her son, Manfred Hutson and his wife Janice of Hamilton, Georgia, grandchildren Kim Stanley (Clay) of Eastman, Georgia, Scott Hutson (Lisa) of Woodland, Tennessee, six great grandchildren Megan Alford, Taylor Alford, Andrew Stanley, Griffin Stanley, Hunter Hutson and Haley Hutson, nephew Charlie Hutson and many other extended family members.
