Margaret Estelle Stogner, 91, of Phenix City, AL died peacefully on Friday, December 20, 2024 while at Piedmont Northside, Columbus, GA.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM (EST) on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 in Lakeview Memory Gardens with Pastor Trace Lasher officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stogner was born March 15, 1933 in LaGrange, GA daughter of the late Grady and Margaret McCanne Johnson. She worked for several years at CVS in the Photo Lab. Mrs. Stogner was an active member of Franklin Road Baptist Church in LaGrange, GA where she worshiped with family and friends. Working word search puzzles was a favorite pastime that she and her beloved Chihuahua, Foxy Lady enjoyed doing together. Gospel music was her favorite and attending singings was always a top priority.

We will remember her as a “trooper” who never gave up. If she was told she could not do something, it was a challenge. Often she proved you wrong! We will miss this feisty lady and how she impacted our daily lives, however we will never forget her. Little things that we do every day will remind us of her, like eating her favorite piece of fried chicken, the legs or seeing a word search puzzle or a favorite gospel song, to name a few things.

Mrs. Stogner was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Margaret Johnson, the father of her children, James E. Ogle; a sister, Shirley Melton; and two children, Betty Harder and Michael Ogle.

Survivors include her two daughters, Sheila Nesbitt and Ann Smith, both of Phenix City, Al ; two sons, Steven Ogle (Cheryl), Shiloh, GA and Kenneth Ogle (Andrea), Blue Ridge, GA; one sister, Barbara Dickerson, TX; ten grandchildren, Jimbo, Tammy, Tabatha, Trisha, Diane, Bobbie Jean, Robert, Amber, Stephanie and Nora; numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren, representing five generations; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
