Marguerite Chadwick

Marguerite Chadwick, 87, of Columbus, GA, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015.  She is the former co-owner of Chadwick’s Wrecker Services.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 3, 2015 beginning at 2:00 PM EST at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA.  Chaplain Allison Owen will be officiating.  There will be a private interment at Parkhill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at the Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM  EST.  

Marguerite was born December 2, 1927 in Parrish, Al, the daughter of the late Cldye M. Phifer and the late Ola Jones Phifer. Marguerite Chadwick had a passion for Bingo and loved spending time with her friends and family at the Bingo Parlor.  She was loved dearly by many.  She loved her Children and her Grandchildren very passionately whether Big or Small she always made them feel like they are the Greatest Gifts she had ever received. 

 Ms. Chadwick was the kind of Lady you met and became instantly attached to.  She was always laughing and one might even say she was a bit of a jokester.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and her Smile could light up a room.  If you had the pleasure of meeting Marguerite you would instantly have loved her and claimed her as your family.

In addition to her parents, Marguerite was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Gibson; Brothers –  John Edwin Phifer, James C. Phifer and Bobby J. Phifer; and a daughter, Patti Moody.

Survivors include, four daughters:  Mary Norman and husband, David of Gainesville, Ga; Linda Lee and husband, William of Box Springs, GA, Barbara Chadwick of Columbus GA, and Dee Dee Drury of Columbus, GA; one son:  B. J. Chadwick of Columbus, GA; 1 sister:  Sue Stroud of Gainesville, FL; 1 brother:  Harold Phifer and wife Lois of Parrish, AL; 15 grandchildren, 12  great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
