Marietta Elaina Easter

Marietta Elaina Easter, 73 of Smiths Station, AL, passed away Tuesday morning at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, GA.

Ms. Easter was born in Illinois, the daughter of Hershel Tucker and Etta French. She was a member of Faith Independent Baptist Church and she loved her family, church and her dogs.

Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Donald M. Easter, three sisters, Betty, Joyce and Bonnie and a son, William “Bill” Rodney Easter, Sr.

She is survived by two daughters, Guenda Leonard, husband David of Phenix City, AL and Sharon Cork, husband Don of Smiths Station, AL; one son Ricky Easter of Lilburn, GA; nine grandchildren, Christy Etheredge, husband George, Dan Leonard, Don Leonard, Rodney Easter, Jr., wife Chelsea,  Rickey Easter, Jr., wife Kenzie, Shannon Cappel, husband Craig, Michelle Cork, Dawn Cork and Shannon Montano, husband Luis; six great grandchildren, Liam, Nicolé, Marco, Lorelai, Addison and Andee; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family plans to have a private memorial service in memory of Ms. Marietta Elaina Easter.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Faith Independent Baptist Church, 275 Lee Road 430, Smiths Station, AL.
