Marilyn “Christine” Carden

Marilyn Christine Carden, 92, of Midland, GA died Friday December 23, 2022, at the Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday December 28, 2022, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road Columbus, with Reverend Jerry Speer officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Carden was born July 21, 1930, in Buena Vista, GA, daughter of the late Major Miller and Vera Curlee Miller. She was a retired paraprofessional at Georgetown Elementary School. Mrs. Carden was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Columbus, GA. She loved being a homemaker to her family and loved keeping the nursery when she was at Wesley Heights Baptist Church.
Mrs. Carden was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank Carden, and ten brothers.
Survivors include her daughters, Karen Hood (Bobby) of Fortson, GA and Lisa Whaley (Mike) of Fortson, GA, a son, Johnny Carden (Lisa) of Midland, GA, sisters, Dianne Brown of Buena Vista, GA and Mary Greer of Mauk, GA, grandchildren, Justin Hood (Mandy), Brittany Greer (Jeremy), Shaun Carden (Mallory), Alecia Knight, Dakota Whaley (Cheyenne), and Dalton Whaley, and great grandchildren, Jackson Greer, Ashlyn Greer, Blake Hood, Brock Knight, Easton Knight, and Saylei Carden.
Flowers will be accepted, or contributions may be made to the Columbus Hospice House, 7020 Moon Road Columbus, GA.
