Mark Alan Murley

Mark Alan Murley, 59, of Columbus, GA passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 in the comfort of his home.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm EST Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel (Vance Brooks Funeral Home) in Phenix City with Reverend Mike Turner officiating.  Interment with Military Honors will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mark was born March 12, 1959 in Columbus, GA. to the late Audrey Fay Johnson Smith who passed away in 2007, and Wallace Smith in 2008.  He was a graduate of Smith Station High School.  He served our country and was a Veteran of the United States Marines from 1979-1982.  He was a Christian by faith.  His favorite hobby was fishing with his Uncle Jack.  Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Louis Johnson in 1994 and his Grandmother, Cleo Johnson in 1999, and his Uncle, Jack Johnson in 2015.

He is survived by his Aunt Evelyn Ozment, Uncle Lavonne Ozment, son Alan Murley, and cousins, Cheryl Ozment, Janet Slayton, Mike Ozment, Matt Slayton, Mitch Slayton, Star Ozment and Ben Ozment.
