Mrs. Martha Faye Lockhart

Martha Faye (Sizemore) Lockhart, 80, of Columbus, GA passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 at Magnolia Manor West.  A graveside service will be held at Parkhill Cemetery on Monday, September 21, 2020 beginning at 10:00 am with Reverend Jimmy Stubbs officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

Martha was born on July 5, 1940 in Cusseta, GA to the late James and Mildred Sizemore. She was a member of Weems Road Freewill Baptist Church and truly enjoyed being with her church family. Martha devoted her life to being the best wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister she could be. There was no doubt she genuinely loved and cared for her family. Martha will be greatly missed, but she has left her special fingerprint on the hearts and lives of all who knew her.

Other than her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her loving and dedicated husband of 43 years, Truman Lockhart, two brothers, and one sister.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Newberry (Derrell) and Jackie Morris, both of Columbus, GA; brother, Alan Sizemore (Vickie) of Pine Mountain, GA; six grandchildren, Kimberly Mott (Arlen), Marcus Newberry (Jessica), Annie Chaisson (Jean-Paul), Macy Alexander (Joshua), Philip Morris, Windy Dozier (Leonard); and 15 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Magnolia Manor for the great care they gave to Martha for the last five years. Words cannot express our appreciation for your dedication and commitment in watching over our sweet mother, grandmother, and sister.
