Martha Nell Brazell Massey

Martha Nell Brazell Massey, age 82, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany,Georgia. Graveside services are scheduled at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 US Hwy 431N, Phenix City, Alabama on Monday, March 15, 2021, 11 a.m. with Reverend Robb Goodman officiating, according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N, Phenix City, Alabama.
Mrs. Massey, daughter of the late Marvin Mallory Brazell and Mary Elizabeth Wadkins Brazell, was born July 14, 1938 in Langdale, Alabama. She was a member of Ladonia Baptist Church and retired from Southern Bell phone company where she faithfully worked for over 32 years. Mrs. Massey enjoyed life to the fullest, loved to travel, but most of all she enjoyed spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. The family remembers her as a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Massey was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Massey; one sister, Julia Rodriguez; and four brothers, Fred Brazell, Ted Brazell, Jerry Brazell, and Bobby Brazell.
She is survived by one son, Steven Massey and his wife Cindy; two daughters, Susan Wilkerson and her husband Mike, and Barbara Webster and her husband Phil; two granddaughters, Jessica Carter and her husband Colt, and Morgan Phillips and her husband Mark; two grandsons, Dylan Wilkerson and Cody Webster and his wife Autumn; one brother, Gary Brazell; stepfather, Johnny Weidow; five great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; many other relatives and friends.
