Mary Adell Seckinger

Mary Adell Seckinger, 86, of Columbus, GA passed away February 20, 2014 at the Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, February 24, 2014 beginning at 2:00 P.M. EST at Vance -Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA. Reverend Gary Richardson will be officiating. Interment will conclude at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM EST at the funeral home. Adell Seckinger was born July 14, 1927 daughter of the late Thomas Lee Hendrix and Dora Frances Hendrix in Franklin, GA. Adell was a Baptist by faith and loved to worship the Lord. She was a lifelong member of Central Baptist Church in Columbus. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband and love of her life, Julius D. Seckinger. Together they owned and operated Seckingers Good Used Cars. Other than her parents and husband, Adell is preceded in death by nine sisters, and four brothers. Survivors include, Sons, Troy D. Seckinger, of Columbus, GA, Donald R. Seckinger and wife Dawn, of Lawrenceville, GA; sisters, Cellie Houman, of Monticello, NY, Annie Anderson, of Milledgeville, GA; and one grandchild, Dalton Seckinger. Adell was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and a caring friend she will be missed deeply.
