Mary Betty Harrison Adams

Mary Betty Harrison Cain Adams, 75, of Crawford, AL passed away on Wednesday May 3, 2017 in the comfort of her home while surrounded by her loving family.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held 4:00pm Saturday May 6, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Steve Williamson and Chaplain Dean Knipe officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Adams was born July 5, 1941 in Bullock County, AL to the late Willie Foye Harrison and Sank Winfield Harrison.  She was retired from Bell South – AT & T with many years of dedicated service and was a member of the Pioneers.  Betty enjoyed fishing, traveling, and the outdoors.  She was a member of Crawford Baptist Church.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Eugene Cain, three brothers, Rex Harrison, Walter Harrison, and Bobby Harrison, and two sisters, Eloise Cain, and Hattie Bell Henderson.

She is survived by her husband, R C Adams, children, Brendan Scott Cain, Isabell Colleen Cain, Linda Adams Carter, and husband Bob, Tammy Adams Williamson, and one brother, John W. Harrison and wife Agnes; a host of grandchildren, and great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.

A special appreciation and thank you to GentivaHospice- Jacin Cail, Annie Chadwick, Kelvin Jones, and all their staff for the tender care and love shown for Mrs. Adams – and a very special thank you to her caregivers Johnnie W. Bush, Ellen Chakkor, and Cathy Barcliff.
