Mary “Frances” Barton Coggins, 88, of Salem, AL passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at the Haven Hospice House in Orange Park, FL.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Tim Baird and James Baird officiating.   Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends before the service from 11 to 12 at the Vance Memorial.

Mrs. Coggins was born February 15, 1929 in Helena, Arkansas to the late Samuel Wes and Lois Louise Barton.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Bennie Foy “Red” Coggins, two sisters, Dorothy Parrish and Margaret Baird.

She is survived by a son, Mike Coggins and wife Judy of San Antonio, TX, and a daughter, Cindy Lacey and husband Steve of Orange Park, FL; one sister, Celeste Jones and husband Cecil; (5) grandchildren, Scott Lacey (Melissa), Chris Coggins (Sheri), Tera Sowers (Brady), Shawn Coggins (Crystal), and Jeff Coggins (Jamie), (13) great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
