Mary E. Guthrie Veltri

Mary E. Guthrie Veltri, 88, of Phenix City, AL died peacefully on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM (EST) at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. A private interment will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Veltri was born May 17, 1935 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Timothy Guthrie and Evelyn Holton Guthrie. She loved to sing karaoke and dance with her friends. Mrs. Veltri was blessed to live to see multiple generations of her family at the same time. We will miss her and always remember her in our hearts.

Mrs. Veltri was preceded in death by her parents, Timothy and Evelyn Guthrie; husband, Bernard Veltri and three brothers, Gerald, Billy and Thomas Guthrie.

Survivors include her three daughters, Elizabeth Patti (James), SC, Brenda Veltri, NJ, and Deborah Sinacori (Thomas), NY; seven grandchildren, Michael, Bernard, Jonathan, Farah, Larissa, Christina and Nicholas; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Frazier and Frances Jones; two brothers, Charles Guthrie and Robert Guthrie; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
