Mary Earline Tarvin Thomas, 80, of Phenix City, AL died at her home on Wednesday, November 09, 2022 with her family by her side.
Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM (EST) on Saturday, November 12, 2022 in Lakeview Memory Gardens according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Nyle Irvin officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 PM (EST) at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thomas was born January 28, 1942 in Phenix City, AL daughter of the late Benjamin Homer Tarvin and Mary Earline Hearn Tarvin. She was an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Phenix City, AL. Ms. Mary was a homemaker who loved her job. She enjoyed cooking and was famous for her banana pudding, baking, decorating for Christmas, taking care of children and anyone else who needed some TLC. Her home was always open and welcoming to all. Her absence has left a void in our lives, but her faith and love of family will continue to bring joy to our hearts.
Mrs. Thomas was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Earline Tarvin; a daughter, Cynthia Dianne Thomas; and her siblings.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Ladon “Don” Thomas; four children, Madonna Thomas, Donald Thomas, David Thomas (Ann) and Denise Grogan (Jay); one brother, Thomas Tarvin; three grandchildren, Caleb D. Thomas, William Thomas and Katelin Grogan; three great-grandchildren, Benjamin Thomas, Aleeah Thomas and Anna Thomas; numerous great-great grandchildren; special niece and nephew, Pam Cook-Smith and Michael Tarvin; friend and caregiver, Wanda Teagle; several nieces, nephews and friends.
