Mary Faye Boutwell

Mary Faye Boutwell, 72, of Salem, Alabama passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm EDT Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 6pm until 8pm at Vance Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Boutwell was born November 29, 1942 in Hartford, AL to the late Charles Foster Newsome and Ira Mae Odom Newsome. She worked at Eagle-Phenix Mills for over 20 years and was a home health care provider for 20 years. Mary was a longtime member at New Hope Freewill Baptist church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Rhonda Boutwell and husband, Milford Boutwell. She is survived by her daughter, Sondra Riley and husband Greg of Salem, AL; siblings, Elizabeth Elmore of Smiths, AL, Joann Brazwell and husband Ted of Phenix City, Al and Glenn Newsome and wife Peggy of Smiths, AL; grandchildren, Ashley Sanders(Mike), Dewayne Eiland(Shelby), Kim Aikens, Chad Sutton, Tangi McLendon, Jeremy Riley(Brandy) and Amanda Riley; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many caring friends.
