Mary Fritz

Mary Fritz, age 84, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital.  Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N, Phenix City, Alabama on Saturday, February 22, 2020, 11 a.m. with Reverend Mike Reeves officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 21, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. 

Mrs. Fritz, daughter of the late Ira Crocker and Sidney Barnes Crocker, was born April 5, 1935 in Coffee County, Alabama.  She was a homemaker and Baptist by faith.  Mrs. Fritz enjoyed gardening, but her biggest passion was spending quality time with her family.  She was a very passionate loving wife and mother, always having a big heart towards others, and extremely compassionate.  Her family remembers her as a loving mother, and her husband’s best friend and love of his life.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Andre’ LeComte; a sister, Sissy Justice; a brother, Buddy Crocker; and a grandson, Hunter LeComte.  She is survived by her husband of 47 years, SGM (Ret) George Fritz of Phenix City, Alabama; five sons, Bobby LeComte of Boca Raton, Florida, Wade LeComte of Loganville, Georgia, Louie LeComte of Columbus, Georgia, Beatty LeComte, and Bret LeComte and his wife Adrienne of Waverly Hall, Georgia; one sister, Hazel Fredrick of Phenix City, Alabama; one brother, Donnie Crocker and his wife Carol of Columbus, Georgia; 10 grandchildren, Jason LeComte and his wife Robyn, Justin LeComte, Heather LeComte Joslin and her husband Jesse, Amber LeComte, Ryan LeComte and his wife April, Kendall LeComte, Melissa Posey, Conrad LeComte and his wife Lauren, Barrett LeComte and his wife Tiffany, and Sidney Petty and her husband Daniel; 13 great-grandchildren, Slade, Collyns, Cameron, Aiden, Madison, Grayson, Olivia, Peyton, River, Rory, Robert, Braydon, and Sutter; many other relatives and friends.
