Mary Grace "Nana" Gollow

February 12, 1936 — June 16, 2024

Columbus

Mary Grace Gollow passed away in the comfort of her home on June 16, 2024. Born on February 12, 1936, in Richmond, VA. The family plans to hold a private memorial service at a later date.

Mary dedicated 26 years to a successful career in retail sales at the Kiddie Shoppe, Warren's, Taranto's, and McKay's where she formed two lasting friendships with her bestie Missy and Dianne who lovingly referred to her as "Mom". Following her retirement, Mary said she was best at "doing nothing".

In her 88 years of life, Mary Gollow never grew old. She held on to her youthfulness and was known for her spicy personality. She was known to everyone as "Nana" after becoming a grandmother 37 years ago. Mary had a sharp tongue, a sharp wit, and could cut you down with a sharp look (the Nana look). She was funny and loved making everyone around her laugh. Mary was a wonderful pet mom, the best lasagna maker, and a talented seamstress. She met almost everyone that crossed through the lives of her children, and all of them loved her, too.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and Charles Blunt Sr., her brothers Charles Blunt JR, and Richard Blunt, and her son Charles Gollow.

Mary is survived by her daughter Marian Wilson, son Kevin Gollow (wife Tracy) granddaughters Amanda King (her devoted partner, Gerard), Alexandria Wilson (wife Kyla), and grandson Michael Gollow (wife Hannah). They will miss her terribly, as will everyone she ever met.

In every laugh, every stitch, every funny comment and every act of love, Mary's memory will live on in the hearts of those that had the pleasure of knowing her.
