Mary Elizabeth “Hannah” Peacock Pelham, 93, of Columbus, GA, and formally of Darien, GA passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 5, 2016 in Boise, ID.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm CDT on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Graceville, FL with Rev. Danny Young officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the graveside service inside the Church at Bethel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Pelham was born February 5, 1923 in Webb, AL to Coy Auston Peacock and Alma Hinson Peacock. She served as lunchroom manager for Darien High School and retired in 1988. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Prime Timers Sunday School Class, Gallops Senior Center, and Health Matters, and she had been attending Cascade Hills Church in Columbus, GA. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James W. Pelham, two sisters, Margaret Price and Agnes Martinez, and one brother, Walter Peacock.
She is survived by her children, Pauline Adams of Columbus, GA, Wynn Pelham of Monroe, Ga, and Tony Pelham of Meridan, ID;, one brother, Billy Peacock, (12) grandchildren, (13) great grandchildren, (5) great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
